London playtime

Pizza, prosecco, cocktails and my favourite people all in one place (Sarah you were truly missed!).

Last week I turned 25 and decided to celebrate in the best way - with a week long birthday. From a day with mummy, trying out the Mae Deli and doing a little bit of shopping, to supper at Dishoom with the boy and a Saturday of playtime.

Saturday started with Pips heading down from Guildford and a little visit to Broadway Market for lunch at Franco Manca, a browse of the stalls and some very good cake. Citrus Polenta is an absolute winner!

If you haven't been, Franco Manca is fab. Huge sourdough pizzas, organic wine and delicious toppings - and a glass of wine and a pizza is about £10. What's not to like? The Broadway Market branch has an incredible open roof and we sat under heaters enjoying the sunshine and one of the first Spring days.

After a much needed catch up and a walk along the river, we headed back to the flat to get ready for a night of birthday drinks at Be At One in Islington. The gin cocktails are so good and we had a steady flow of them all night it seemed! It was so lovely to see everyone and have all of my favourites in one place. Cocktails, dancing, the best 90s soundtrack and a lot of laughing later, we stumbled back to the flat with the help of our very kind Addison Lee driver and the night ended as all good nights should - with rounds and rounds of toast, thanks to my lovely boyfriend!
